About Fadi

Attorney Fadi Chakour is a medical doctor who left the practice of medicine for the practice of law. As a practicing physician, Fadi treated many patients injured as a result of the negligence of others and observed the resulting harm to their loved ones. Fadi represents individuals and families harmed by medical malpractice. He is also a Florida Supreme Court certified Civil Circuit Mediator. Combining his medical experience and legal abilities enables Fadi to be a powerful advocate for injured individuals and their families. Fadi’s deep knowledge of medicine and the healthcare industry also enables him to successfully litigate, negotiate, and resolve complex disputes (billing, contractual, etc.) between healthcare providers and insurance companies and disputes among the different healthcare providers.

Fadi is a fellow of the American College of Legal Medicine. He was elected as a Co-Chair of the Stroke Litigation Group at the American Association for Justice. From 2016 to 2023, Fadi organized, led, and moderated the Group's annual meetings, which included seminars and presentations by nationally recognized speakers and experts in the field of stroke diagnosis, treatment and litigation. Prior to starting his own civil trial and mediation firm, Fadi practiced as a civil trial lawyer at some of Florida’s largest defense and plaintiffs’ firms, where he litigated, as he still does, numerous medical malpractice cases involving multimillion-dollar damages.

Fadi has also led a team in helping healthcare institutions properly respond to HIPAA breaches. Some of these tasks included working closely with the Secret Service and the Department of Health and Human Services. Fadi earned his Juris Doctor from Florida Coastal School of Law where he received four CALI Excellence for the Future Awards for being the highest scoring student in four classes and was on the Dean’s Honor List three times. He also earned a Certificate in International and Comparative Law. He is a graduate of Yerevan State Medical Institute in Yerevan, Armenia, where he trained as a medical doctor, and then trained in general surgery.

Fadi is fluent in English, Arabic, and Armenian and also speaks conversational Russian and Turkish. In his free time, he enjoys playing tennis, swimming, and volunteering at his church. Fadi is married and the proud father of two children.
